WoodsLife Wanderers is a once-a-week outdoor afterschool program designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong connection with nature in elementary-aged children (Grades K - 6). Each week, students step outside to explore local forests, fields, and streams through hands-on adventures that encourage discovery, creativity, and play. Whether they're building forts, observing wildlife, identifying plants, or simply enjoying the changing seasons, children learn by experiencing the natural world firsthand.

Wanderers will be staffed from 3:30 - 6:00 pm, with structured camp programming taking place from 4:00 - 5:30. The drop-off and pick-up windows will include free-choice nature activities, games with counselors, and space to unwind after the school day. This intentional flexibility allows for the difference in school dismissals and travel distances while giving our campers an opportunity to switch gears and connect with others and the environment.

Our program provides a welcoming environment where students can develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, resilience, and environmental stewardship while having fun outdoors. Guided by experienced mentors, children are encouraged to slow down, ask questions, take healthy risks, and build meaningful friendships—all while fostering a sense of wonder that extends far beyond the end of the school day.
